It’s hard not to be excited when putting together the Guardian’s new business page every two weeks.
We don’t like to brag too much about how exciting our three papers are every week, and honestly, we don’t think it’s necessary (if that sounded like bragging, you can be assured we didn’t like doing it).
But every now and then a new feature arises that is exciting, that creates excitement among us, and that is worth all the excitement it generates.
On page nine of today’s Mudgee Guardian, along with our new regular column from Allan Brindley of Brindley’s Chartered Accountants, readers can see the latest news from a Gulgong business that has built up an impressive reputation locally and beyond, and which is now building on that to offer a service with quality and capabilities rarely found outside the city.
Last week, an article on Mudgee’s Sydage Plastic Products visited another business that is uncommon in western NSW, and that nonetheless draws customers from around the country.
This region is full of quiet achievers, businesses that are building slowly, developing outstanding reputations and extending their abilities ever further.
Print Storm’s new printing machine allows a Gulgong-based business to compete with the country’s best printers of photo collections, magazines, brochures and illustrated books, a capacity that is far beyond what anyone might have imagined could be found in this region 20 years ago when Paul Cavalier was just a child.
Businesspeople in Mudgee are doing amazing things, and it’s exciting to see.
We intend to keep seeking them out and highlighting them in these pages.
