Description:
The Mudgee Readers’ Festival has been established to celebrate the joy of reading. This is a ‘readers’ festival not a ‘writers’ festival. We figure that everyone reads, but not everyone is interested in writing a book of their own. Our Festival provides an opportunity to sit back and let the authors’ stories wash over you, as well as a chance to put your own curly questions to the authors.
We aim to have something for everyone, with a wide range of authors and literature styles. We always try to include a children’s author, a bit of history, something to challenge us and make us think, as well as simply great stories.
We strive to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable – audience as well as authors.
The Festival includes presentations in an ‘in conversation’ format, panel discussions as well as literary lunches and dinners. We set a fairly relaxed pace so there is plenty of time to include a glass of wine or two!
Progamme released late June 2012.
