Army’s trees at cemetery

28 Jun, 2009 04:34 PM
Members of Dad’s Army and council workers have spent the week planting trees outside the gates to the Mudgee Cemetery.

Dad’s Army workers’ John Heath, Wally Suttor, Sandy Steelpark, Phil White and John Warre were among the group who planted 120 crab apple trees lining the road beside the cemetery.

The trees were planted to make the area look more attractive.

Members of Dad’s Army will maintain the trees once they are in the ground.
