05 Feb, 2010 08:24 AM
A Gulgong man who applied to the local court to have an apprehended violence order revoked withdrew his application when it came before Gulgong Local Court for hearing on Thursday.

In Mudgee Local Court last monthm Adrian Timothy Simpson, 20, of Stubbo Road Gulgong said he was asking for that order be revoked because he wanted to apply for a gun licence to enable him to obtain work as an RSPCA inspector.

When the matter came before Gulgong Local Court on Thursday, Simpson told the court he was withdrawing the application because of the local media attention his application had attracted.
