About 100 people including children from Hargraves Public School and riders from the Hargraves/Triamble Pony Club turned out for only the second Anzac Day ceremony at the village’s new memorial.
This year a small parade was formed, led by the 1 Platoon Mudgee Australian Army Cadets. They marched from the Hargraves recreation ground to the memorial at the old Court House.
The ceremony was led and organised by Hargraves’ Jeff Bultitude and included guest speaker Jackie Perring - Senior Vice President of the Mudgee RSL sub-branch.
There was a sense of great pride as locals watched the cadets mount and honour guard at the memorial for the service.
The event was followed by a hearty breakfast supplied by the Hargraves and District Progress Association.
