A 19-year-old Mudgee man will spend eight months in prison after being convicted of five offences in Mudgee Local Court on June 3.

The charges related to three different incidents late last year and early this year.

Anthony Tyler White of Perry Street was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident on November 15 at a Mudgee hotel.

In this incident White punched a man, knocking him to the ground and dislodging two of his teeth.

He was also charged with common assault on December 21 last year after an incident in Church Street Mudgee at 3am on November 7 when he was alleged to have punched a man who came to the aid of a woman that White had grabbed by the hair and was holding her hair so that the woman could not move.

In this incident the male victim suffered a split lip.

A second man who stepped between the woman and White was also punched with a closed fist to the left eye and the man fell to the road.

On January 12 this year he was charged with two counts of destroy damage property over an incident that resulted in a police vehicle being damaged. After his arrest White also damaged a cell door, the dock at the police station and a mattress, all the property of the NSW Police Service.

During this incident White also intimidated three police officers but did not cause them any actual bodily harm.

Magistrate Jan Stevenson sentenced White to concurrent 12 months terms of imprisonment with an eight-month non parole period over each offence.
