St Matthew’s School Band is all set to go on stage for the Motown in Mudgee event this Saturday.
Following extra rehearsals during the past week, the students are excited about opening the event at Gooree Park, before James Morrison and his 10-piece band performs.
The band of 24 students will perform mostly Australian music in the lead up to the Motown show.
With gates to open at 12 noon, the school band will be on stage at 1pm, before James Morrison’s Motown Show takes over the limelight at 2pm.
Music lovers can still pick up tickets, with all proceeds going towards The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of Australia.
Transfers are available through Ogdens Coaches for $15 return with pick-ups from the Mudgee Informa-tion Centre, Mudgee Railway Station, Parklands Resort and the Gulgong Memorial Hall bus stop.
For those attending the concert, don’t forget to bring a deck chair or picnic rug, poncho for inclement weather, sun hat and sunscreen, money (cash sales only at catering facilities), non professional camera and best dance moves.
This is a licensed event and as a result no alcohol or soft drink can be brought into the grounds. You are also unable to bring umbrellas or tables, video recording equipment, glass, metal cutlery and sunshades or sheltered tents.
You may bring your own food, but a variety of food stalls will also be open on the day.
