Police briefs for February 1

Break-in, Mudgee High School

Between 8.30am on Saturday, January 28 and 7.15am on Sunday, January 29, thieves forced entry to a shed at Mudgee High School and removed three red plastic jerry cans filled with fuel.

Break-in, Victoria Park

Thieves forced entry to the canteen at Victoria Park, Mudgee and stole a number of cans of drinks between 5pm on Friday, January 27 and midday on Saturday, January 28.

Cash stolen during break-in

Between 12.30am and 6.30am on Saturday, January 28 a break-in occurred at the Cudgegong Valley Motel, Market Street, Mudgee.

A small sum of cash was stolen.

Service Station break-in

A service station in Herbert Street, Gulgong was broken into some time between 3.30am and 5am on Saturday, January 28,

A quantity of cigarettes, tobacco and a small sum of cash were stolen.

Attempt break-in, Tallawang.

Between 7pm on Saturday, January 14 and 10pm Friday, January 27 unknown persons attempted to break-in to a property on Corrish Lane at Tallaway.

No items were stolen.

Break-in, licensed premise

On Saturday, January 28 would-be thieves attempted to enter a local licensed premise in Mayne Street, Gulgong. The attempted break-in occurred around 2.15am.

No property was stolen.

Assault

Police are continuing their investigations into an assault that occurred on Angus Avenue, Kandos.

The incident occurred at around 10.50pm on Saturday, January 28.

One of the males received a deep cut to the facial area.

Assault

A 16-year-old Kandos youth has been charged after he and a 15-year-old Lithgow co-offender allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old Kandos man on Thursday, January 26 on Ilford Road at Kandos.

Both young persons are to appear at Rylstone Children’s Court in June.

Fence damaged

Vandals have kicked a colour bond fence causing damage to fence panels.

The damage occurred to the fence of a home in Jacques Street, Kandos on Monday, January 23 between 4pm and 4.30pm.

Wallet stolen

Thieves forced entry to a blue Holden Station Wagon at the Gulgong RSL Club car park, Herbert Street, Gulgong.

A wallet, licence and cards were stolen.

The theft occurred between 3pm Friday, January 27 and 9.30am Saturday, January 28.
