The record-breaking movie New Moon will be seen in Mudgee next month as part of Mid-Western Regional Council’s summer holiday movie weekend.
The latest instalment of the Twilight saga, New Moon has broken box-office records in Australia.
It will screen at the Town Hall Theatre during the January 15-17 movie weekend, along with other new releases such as Where The Wild Things Are, The Invention of Lying and The Time Traveller’s Wife.
Mid-Western Regional Council has commissioned Mojo Events & Promotions of Orange, the company behind both the Regent Revival earlier in 2009 and Flix in the Stix, to stage the weekend of movies.
“It’s very exciting to once again host new release movies here in Mudgee, particularly during the school holidays when we know kids are looking for things to do,” Mid-Western Regional Council Youth Officer Cathy Leisfield said.
“Although we would love to screen more movies over a longer period, this is the next best thing and we are confident that people living in the area will support this initiative.”
New Moon will screen twice during the movie weekend.
A full movie schedule with titles and time will be released early in January.
Ticket prices will be $15 (adult) and $10 (student/concession/Child).
