Two Mudgee men were taken to hospital on Friday night after an accident closed the Cassalis Rd for an hour.
The 70-year-old Mudgee male driver attempted to turn right from Henry Lawson Drive onto the Cassilis Rd.
His car hit another vehicle approaching from the right which was being driven by a 44-year-old Mudgee man.
As a result of the crash the car driven by the 44-year-old male rolled onto its side.
The driver was trapped by his seat belt and was released by ambulance and VRA personnel who were called to the scene.
Both drivers were taken to Mudgee District Hospital.
The 44-year-old was treated for a suspected broken sternum and seat belt bruising, the 70-year-old man was uninjured in the accident.
Police inquiries are continuing.
Police also attended two other minor accidents over the weekend.
At 4.50pm on Friday, June 12, a 19-year-old Mudgee woman lost control of her car on loose gravel along Henry Lawson Drive, near Craigmoor Estate.
The woman left the road and went through a fence and into a paddock. She was not injured in the accident.
Another minor accident occurred on Saturday, June 13, when a car was driven off the road near the abattoirs.
The driver was uninjured in the accident and the car was towed from the scene.
