The talents of support service clients will be on show in the funny and often chaotic retelling of an old classic, featuring wonderful costumes, scenery, music and all Wonderland’s zany characters.
The actors bring their characters to life by allowing their personalities to shine through and by often adding their own little twists to the play in an attempt to catch the narrator off guard.
Whether they succeed or not will be up to the audience on the night.
There are guaranteed hearty laughs and some ‘feel good’ moments in a script rewritten for the stage by program officer Ingrid Puxty, with a little audience participation thrown in for added fun.
Other acts on the night will include Reps School of Dance; Mudgee Public School Choir and Mudgee Uke Group as well as some solo artists showcasing their talents. Supper will be provided after the concert and all ages are welcome.
A special thank you goes to Ironed Out for providing the costumes and to St Matthews Central School for providing both props and costumes for the night.
The concert will be held at the Mudgee Baptist Church, 70 Bruce Road, on Friday, March 8, at 6.30pm.
Tickets do need to be booked as seats are selling quickly. Bookings can be made by calling 6372 3848 by emailing ingridpuxty@internode.on.net or via the Mudgee Disability Support Service Facebook page.
