Mid-Western Regional Council encouraged local business houses to show their support for the major event and ran a competition to find the best dressed shop front.
Mudgee Friendly Pharmacy and Sportscene were named as the winners of the competition.
Sportscene’s split display on either side of the store entrance featured one side dedicated to the Eels and the other for the Titans.

Mudgee Friendly Pharmacy’s display leaned a little more towards the team from Parramatta, with the centrepiece quite possibly the town’s largest banner.
Honourable mentions go to Eltons for their tiny field and tiny player design and Mudgee Newsagency for their even showing of the two team’s jerseys.
In one of the more unusual displays, Husband’s Saddlery’s resident horse, located on their upstairs verandah, donned the gold and blue of Parramatta.
