One of the surprise highlights of last year’s Sculptures in the Garden at Rosby vineyard was the wearable art competition and fashion parade, with locals creating and modelling clothing made from materials as diverse as Little Golden Books, dress patterns and pages of song lyrics.

When Sculptures in the Garden returns this Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13, the wearable art competition and parade will once again establish a catwalk on the verandah of the Rosby homestead at 1pm each day.
The competition challenges participants to let their imaginations run wild, promoting “costume creation, clever upcycling and recycled or handmade materials”.
The only rule is that the piece of clothing must use recycled materials, items from nature, or hand-sculptured and painted materials.
The piece can then be worn by its creator – or a model if the creator is shy – in Rosby’s Wearable Art Parade at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year, the wearable art parade drew an intrigued crowd of onlookers, who settled under the trees of the Rosby garden to see a variety of unusual handcrafted fashions presented.
Prizes will be awarded for a Junior Section and an Open section.
