Between 10.15am and 10.30am on Tuesday, thieves stole a box containing screws, plugs and drill bits from a white Ford Trader table top.
The vehicle had been parked in the car park behind the Woolpack Hotel on Market Street, Mudgee. The items were left on the back of the truck.
In a separate incident, paint, roll trays, roll polls, cap gun, sand paper, and a four-inch grinder were stolen from a silver Isuzu D-Max utility at the same location. The theft occurred between 4.30pm on Monday and 7.30am on Tuesday.
Yesterday an electrician in Lewis Street, Mudgee, reported to the Mudgee Guardian that a Leatherman utility kit was stolen from his Toyota Landcruiser on Wednesday night. He also said over the past week latches covering tool boxes on his utility had also been moved overnight in what he believed were attempts to steal tools and other items.
