The group will raise money to help bring Life Education Programs to the region, raise the profile of Life Education and support the educators who present the program to local schools.
Life Education helps children to make healthy choices, starting in early primary school when children learn to understand how the body works and the importance of exercise and a balanced diet.
Through annual visits by the Life Education mobile centres, children progress through the program.
Life Education was founded in the late 1970s because of concerns about the misuse of drugs and alcohol among young people.
Older primary school learn about the safe use of medicines, the effects of smoking and alcohol and related social issues.
Secondary students discuss alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs.
Life Education also equips young people with the skills to deal with emotional and social pressures.

Today Life Education is the largest non-government provider of drug and health education to children and young people, and their families and communities, Australia wide.
In 2010 Life Education mobile vans visited 3200 schools, where 610,000 students took part in programs.
Since 1979, more than 4 million students have participated in the Life Education program.
