Barnardos Mudgee held their annual Open Day on Wednesday and they invited locals to come and have a chat about what they do.

There was a playgroup with activities for children including an Easter Egg Hunt that had the youngsters sweeping through the premises like a whirlwind.
Barnardos Mudgee Program Manager, Jade Lindsay said that the Open Day was also an opportunity for the public learn more about what they and associated organisations do for the community.
“It’s good for the kids to have something to do in the holidays but it’s also a chance for us to provide information on the services and programs we run here at the Mudgee office,” she said.
This includes their new short term foster care program, which provides emergency care for children aged 0-12 years of age so that they can be looked after in their local community.
Barnardos in Mudgee offer a variety of programs to help people through hard times, for youth that are homeless or at risk, family support and respite care.
They advocate for children and young people and contribute to community knowledge.
