A media conference was planned for 1.30pm yesterday at Gosford Police Station but NSW Police Media informed the mother and son were found shortly before 12.43pm.
The 39-year-old woman and her seven-year-old son were previously last seen at 4am on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Ettalong Beach.
Police thanked the media and the public for their assistance and the pair were reported to be found safe and well.
The boy’s grandmother was ready to join police in an appeal to find the pair with concerns for their welfare.
Police earlier believed the woman was travelling with Bryson Lane in a blue Holden Commodore.
