The competition aims to showcase arts and tourism in the Orana Arts region by asking budding directors use their smartphone or tablet to film a three-minute video that features a hidden gem of their local area that may not be known to other parts of the region.
The workshop in the Green Room at the Mudgee Town Hall Theatre will be facilitated by Geagle Productions video producer, Andrew Barnes.
Entries to the My Arts. My Town competition will be judged on creativity, originality, and an ability to portray the arts and cultural tourism in the local government areas of Dubbo, Narromine, Gilgandra, the Warrumbungles and Mid-Western Region.
Budding directors will showcase the Mid-Western region during the competition, with subject matter including festivals, art projects, exhibitions, gardens, galleries, museums and sculpture walks, artists, curators and arts groups, all discussed by Orana Arts in the lead up to the competition.
Videos for the competition may be produced in any genre providing they do not exceed three minutes and are shot on a mobile device. The workshop will take place from 10am to 12.30pm.
