Once again the kids enjoyed the jumping castle provided by Wanna Jump Jumping Castles, Belinda Davies with face painting and the great food provided by the hard working volunteers in the canteen.
The under sevens and under nine teams who take the field every week as though they are about to play the state of origin, played a great game once again and left everything they have on the field.
The under elevens, thirteen, fifteens and seventeens teams all displayed great sportsmanship, ability and talent as they braved the chilly winds to face off against Gilgandra.
It is extremely important to acknowledge not only the dedication of the kids but also the parents and the kilometers they travel in country areas to support their children in their sporting endeavors. Along with the committee and coaches of each Junior Rugby League Club and the many hours spent ensuring all the kids get to participate, have fun and stay safe.
It was great to see so many supporters come along to witness the great games between Gulgong and Gilgandra played at Billy Dunn Oval for the senior and junior combined day. A special treat for all involved was to see the Terriers last premiership winners from 2004 together. They were in attendance to witness the talents of our local youth and to catch up with old mates.
The Terriers concluded the day with their win over Gilgandra 32 – 18. The boys donned pink socks this week in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. During the game volunteers had erected a tent and sold cakes and collected donations for this extremely important cause.
