“It’s really a second chance when you think about it.  A second chance to fix the things I may not have gotten right,” he said.

Lachlan said the past 20 weeks with Max Potential had been “quite comfortable” in that the program was all about getting those involved to  learn at their own pace and on their own terms. While working with coach Lester Davis has been quite enjoyable for the St Matthews student, Lachlan said the program itself had been very different than what he was expecting when he first signed up last year.

“Things are beginning to take a bit more shape towards the end but it has been different, a little harder, then what I thought it was going to be,” he said. 

Throughout Max Potential, Lachlan has been working towards the showcase on August 1 with three principles in mind – making things happen, march to a mission and x-ing out the negatives.

“Putting the MAXIMISERS into practice has been helping me pick up my game while at school with my studies. Previous to Max Potential I wasn’t doing  a lot of study but thanks to the MAXIMISERS and tools I’ve learnt through Max Potential I now am. My progress has been reflected in my results as well,” he said. 

The showcase on August 1 will allow each of the young adults to show off the progress they’ve made over the past few months and Lachlan said he was looking forward to letting the community see what he has achieved.

“I’m still piecing together my theme but it’s taking shape,” he said. 

“Max Potential is an extremely great program and something I’ll be telling others to think about becoming involved in.”
