On the 10th of July my best friend, companion and working dog Devil went missing. Since that day I have posted fliers all over Mudgee have dropped over 100 fliers into letter boxes and have had people post fliers in Gulgong and Wallerwang.
Every week I visit the pound and help to try and reunite owners with lost dogs and help the unwanted ones find new homes. I am desperate to find my own now and I’m reaching out for help.
I got Devil as an 8 weeks old puppy after the rest of the litter had been “professionally picked” I wasn’t looking for another dog but I couldn’t leave him so I took him home. He was only my 2nd working dog that I was attempting to train I got a lot of stick from all the men at work because he would run in and split the mob and they told me I was too kind and spoiled my dogs.
Just under 2 years later after many pats and words of encouragement he became the amazing dog I knew he could be. I entered a photo of him into a competition that is due to be published into a working dog book this year.
He is my best friend and living alone this year my dogs are my only company. I have driven everywhere to look for him and I am at my wits end I can’t do it alone. Even if he has died I just need some closure.
It might sound crazy as to most dogs are just dogs but they are a passion for me and I love them dearly. I hope you can help me.
