The Conference is regarded as the premier meeting for the association sector in Australia and New Zealand, and brings together over 50 CEOs, senior managers and experts for an interactive discussion on various topics such economic reform, organisational culture, and corporate events.
This year over 400 delegates and exhibitors came together to share knowledge and represent their organisations.
And Parklands was an exhibitor alongside the likes of Hunter Valley, Destination Wollongong, Business Events Sunshine Coast, Business Events Yarra Valley, Accor Hotels, and Albury City Council.
Group Manager Francis Pryer, Property Manager Chantelle Pryer, Business Development Manager Leianne Murphy and Executive Chef Alex Drysdale travelled down to Canberra with a trailer stacked full of Mudgee Region produce to showcase why the association sector should hold their conferences at Parklands Resort.
Leianne Murphy said that making the trip was a lot of work but worth it to showcase the region at an event such as the conference.
“It was an enormous effort on behalf of our team here at Parklands Resort to travel to Canberra for four days,” she said.
“We went to extensive lengths to ensure our exhibition stand represented what our Region is well known for.
“We are thankful for the huge support from High Valley Cheese, Spencer Coco, Grave Natural, Grape Alternative, Karrabul Olives, and Mudgee Hazelnut who assisted us with local produce.
“We received many comments saying that our exhibition was a stand out and loved the opportunity to taste some of our local produce.”
Chantelle Pryer added that it was also an opportunity to put their Conference Centre in the minds of the organisations that can bring their meetings to the local region.
“We are ecstatic with the new opportunities we have established with the likes of, The Australian Veterinary Association, Australian Dental Association, Chiropractors Association of Australia, among others,” she said.
“We are most certain we have made an impact on our brand awareness as a conference destination.”
