The children competed in the 800m, 200m, 100m and relay events as well as fun games such as the bean bad race. Students had competed in events such as discus previously at their school.
Parents participated and assisted the hard working staff from Gulgong Public on the day, while cheering for the competitors. Rivalry between the sporting houses was high but victory belonged to MacArthur at the end of the day with a 180 point lead.
The senior school champions on the day were Ayden Patrick and Zane Chaffer and the junior school champions were Sebastian Baxter and Summer McPhail.
Gulgong Public School should be proud of the athletic displays they put on throughout the day.
