The sportsmanship displayed over the weekend was exceptional and being present to see children assist and cheer on their competitors was a wonderful sight and a true testament as to the principles that pony club embraces and how they educate and guide their members. Pony Club is a place for children to have fun, be safe and foster lifelong friendships while furthering their horsemanship abilities and knowledge.
The hard working committee of the Gulgong Pony Club has done a fantastic job. Secretary Kylie Barber, President Helen Dickinson and Head Instructor Katrina Birt thanked the judges, sponsors, office ladies, canteen helpers, committee, our fantastic club, all clubs in attendance, pencillers, timekeepers, and the children and parents for coming along and making the weekend all possible. Without all of you, these days cannot go ahead.
A special mention went to John Miller and his crew of helpers, the amount of work put in was tremendous (We hope we haven't left anyone out).
Zone 6 will also be holding their Pony Club Camp at the Gulgong grounds and it commences on the 30th of September and concludes on the 4th of October.
Please keep in mind that the Mudgee Pony Club Sport Day will be held on October 12 at the Mudgee Showgrounds.
