The Gulgong product will line-up for his second NRL grand final in three seasons and has played every game this year.
He has come leaps and bounds since making his first grade debut in June 2012 against Melbourne in Mackay.
Apart from playing for the Junior Kangaroos in 2010 and 2011, Jackson has twice played for Country in the City-Country origin match and was 18th man for NSW in game one of the 2014 State of Origin series.
He has been touted by many as a future star of the game with rugby league immortal and Channel 9 commentator Wally Lewis describing Jackson as having “success written all over him”.
Australia coach Sheens has indicated Jackson was in contention for a Kangaroos spot.
But the 23-year-old isn’t looking beyond Sunday’s grand final.
“I haven’t given it much thought,” Jackson said to The Weekly about his possible Kangaroos selection.
“It would be great to play for your country but I’m just focused on this weekend and winning the grand final.”
Jackson is the first to admit this season has been an incredible year on the field for him.
He said there would be nothing better to finish off the year with a diamond premiership ring on his finger – the individual prize all premiership-winning players receive.
The NRL grand final between the Bulldogs and South Sydney will be played on Sunday at 7.20pm.
