The church had been transported by truck from Moolarben to Ulan on the directions of his mother, Aveen Rayner.
In later years, Denis’s sisters Robin and Julie were married at the Church at Ulan.
Last week, Denis and his wife Eve watched at the church building, now no longer a dreadful green, was transported to a property in Eurunderee Lane.
Denis was delighted when the new owners, seeing him watching from the road, invited him for a closer look.
The church has been unused for some years. It’s new purpose is not known.
