General Manager Brad Cam says the project will complement work that has already been done on the same stretch of road.
“Several years ago, council widened the road reserve over the crest approximately 8km from Bylong Valley Way,” Mr Cam said.
“This widening was done to improve the alignment of the road over that crest,” Mr Cam said.
Alignment work is underway now as Council undertakes earthworks and required tree removals.
“Culvert widening started in September and road works will continue until early December.
“There will be some delays to traffic while the work is being done, to allow roads crews access to undertake the upgrades.
