Mudgee will host the second round of the Camagong Inter-Town basketball challenge at the PCYC on Sunday.
Dubbo currently heads the ladder on eight points after two wins from as many games, followed by Mudgee Lakers Gold on five points, Narromine two points, and Mudgee Lakers Blue yet to accumulate any points after not playing at Narromine.
In the first game on Sunday at 10am, Mudgee Lakers Blue get a chance for competition points when they play Dubbo Rams.
Still not at full strength, it will be a tough ask for the Lakers to beat Dubbo who overcame Lakers Gold in the first round by six points, so an upset is probably unlikely in this encounter at least.
A number of the Mudgee under 18s have been included in the Mudgee Blue side, which will be boosted by the return of Anthony Hamson, Sam Watson, Stephen Consadine, Peter Mayson and Alex Barnes.
Mudgee Lakers Gold take on Narromine at 11am and while the Lakers had a reasonably comfortably win over the Stingers last Sunday, they were far from satisfied with their overall performance, and will be looking to score more consistently over the four quarters.
With Andrew Channon unavailable for Sunday, selectors have drafted 15-year-old Liam Young into the line-up to join Chris Spinner, Jordan Woolmer, Clinton Wilkie, Dave Jessiman, Justin Howden, Matt Purtell and Padraigh Hickey.
The two Lakers teams meet in their second game at 1pm and Dubbo take on Narromine at 2pm.
Discussions are still underway but it is hoped that the Mudgee under 18s will play Bathurst under 18s at 12pm and 3pm.
