Mudgee Greyhound Club has abandoned its scheduled meeting tomorrow due to predicted extreme high temperatures in the region.

Greyhound Racing NSW said the decision was made to ensure the welfare of the greyhounds that were due to race at the meeting, with particular consideration given to the travelling many trainers and greyhounds had to embark on.
Under Greyhound Racing NSW’s (GRNSW) Hot Weather Policy, a meeting may be abandoned when the temperature rises above 40 degrees Celsius or the stewards are of the opinion that the temperature is likely to rise above 40 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts daytime temperatures of between 35 and 41 degrees in Mudgee on Sunday.
