Guests are invited to come along and have a look at the refurbished buildings and then join the museum committee at the Prince of Wales Opera House from 6pm for the project launch and information evening.
The Greatest Wonder of the World and the American Tobacco Warehouse stand side by side in Mayne Street, Gulgong. They were restored in the 1970s and have unfortunately, in recent years, fallen into a poor state of repair.
After some discussion, the decision was made to form an incorporated association that would work towards ensuring the survival of the buildings and their continued use as viable commercial entities while also making a significant contribution to the town’s tourism appeal and it’s value as a unique educational resource.
After the launch, guests are invited to join the committee for a glass of wine and some live music from musician Ray Hall.
