Cudgegong Cruisers Inc. in conjunction with volunteers from Can Assist – Mudgee & Districts Branch hosted around 100 cars and 30 motorbikes when they held the event for the seventh time on Saturday, March 21.
The one-day car and motor-bike rally, sponsored by Moolarben Coal and Komatsu, commenced with breakfast and Show-n-Shine at Club Mudgee and travelled to Lake Windermere for a short stop and to check out the amazing dam wall and spillway.
Than it was off to the lush grounds of Bunnamagoo Estate for a lazy picnic lunch which every participant received along with a complimentary cooler bag as part of their entry fee, after some fun with kids and adult tug-o-wars it was of to Gulgong before returning to Club Mudgee for a barbecue, live music and charity auction.
To make a fun day for everyone there was Show-n-Shine in the morning with 27 categories for cars and bikes, a poker run, upon return to Club Mudgee a free jumping castle for the kids, a successful charity auction hosted by Geoff Bartlett and a barbecue and live entertainment on the green out the back of Club Mudgee.
Nett funds raised on the day were $12,250.00 bringing the total raised for Can Assist over the past seven events to $49,250.00.
Cudgegong Cruisers Runs Co-ordinator Glenn Box said the club and Can Assist thank all their supporters for their generosity and support with making Can Cruise 2015 a success.
“I would like to personally thank Geoff Bartlett from First National Mudgee along with Kellie Gant and the team at Club Mudgee, Roz, Deb, Stuart and the team at Bunnamagoo,” he said.
