Strangely, the day with the hottest maximum temperature of the month (March 20) was immediately followed by the lowest maximum temp when Saturday, March 21, topped out at 23°C.
Nearly half of the days in the month (13 days) had a top temperature above 30°C.

The wettest day was the first, with 7mm recorded in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday the 2nd.
It was a big drop off for a month that tends to be fairly wet for the area and just a fraction of the 60.4mm average from the last 20 years.
It is even more noticeable when you take the last three Marches into account, when 97.2mm was recorded last year, 75.8mm in 2013, and a huge 144.4mm in 2012.
