Fourteen volunteers will be recognised for their years of dedication – starting from least a decade - to the organisation.
Long Service Medals/Clasps are presented to members of the service in recognition of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years of service and even longer.
This year’s range will go up to an incredible 70 years of dedication from one volunteer who is the founding member of one of the district’s brigades.
Some of those at the presentation will be recipients of the ‘National Medal’ which are presented to members who are seen to go above and beyond what is expected of volunteers of the service.
Guests at the ceremony will include NSW RFS Assistant Commissioner Bruce McDonald, Dubbo MP and Deputy Premier Troy Grant and Mid-Western Regional Council Mayor Des Kennedy.
The presentation will be held on Saturday morning (April 18, 2015) at the Cudgegong RFS District Fire Control Centre.
