The fundraising rally will arrived on Thursday evening, and stay at Parklands Resort before a big morning at Cudgegong Valley Public School today.
Around 150 cars, as well as a helicopter, will arrive at the school from 6am to 9am and community members are invited to come along and enjoy the food, drink and entertainment.
You can check out the weird and wonderfully decorated cars and talk to the drivers about their bash experience and the work Variety does.
Radio station 2MG will be broadcasting live from the event that morning.
After this the Bash will head for Cessnock, via Jerry's Plains, for the final stop-over of the trip and drive to the finish line at the Newcastle Foreshore on Saturday, May 23. For more information on the morning at CVPS go to the school's P&C Association Facebook page or call the school on 6372 3466.
To find out about the Variety Bash go to variety.org.au/NSW/Events/Newcastle-Events/Newcastle-Bash. The Bash is not a race, but a week-long journey through regional NSW along all kinds of roads and visiting local communities for events such as the one at CVPS.
The event raises money to help Variety the Children's Charity to purchase medical, mobility and educational equipment for those children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
