The festival moved to the Capertee Valley in 2013 after outgrowing its original venue in the Putty region and has continued to grow since then.
The festival will be held on Lyn and Bruce Richardson’s Glen Alice property ‘Eurella’, which will be turned into something resembling Woodstock for the duration of the festival.
The festival is designed as a place to be oneself and to awaken the animal in you as you express what makes you wild.
According to organisers, the journey will rekindle a primal bond between people by “getting all Noisy Chicken over the place and getting on down in our own collaborative purple octopus kind of way.”
Bands for 2015 include Slambooree Sound System, Tron and Z-Cat – all of who will be rocking out on the newly designed stages.
The family-friendly event draws patrons from around Australia who love camping, costumes, and a wide range of music styles.
“Those attending the festival can expect to hear music styles they have likely never before heard in their lives, so an open minded approach to music is certainly handy,” organiser Stevo Demian said.
The festival features more than 90 bands, electronic producers, and DJs performing on three stages - Life Cycle, Stampede and Zoolu - over three days.
More than 3000 people are expected to attend over the three days, with art galleries, live performance art, and show after crazy show to keep them entertained.
An important focus of Psyfari Festival is holding the event in a sustainable way, promoting waste reduction, and being as environmentally friendly as possible. By using biodiesel generators and recycled materials, organisers aim to minimise the additional impact the festival has on the planet.
