In division one Allstars T2 had a ruthless 89-16 win over ICE Woolpack Thunder, handing them the minor premiership.

Starlets Paragon were made to fight for their 46-26 win over ICE Mudgee Physio and Starlets Country Physio 1 also had a convincing 52-22 win over Aztec Paragon.

This makes for an exciting finals series in this year’s division one.

Allstars T2 finished on top of the ladder followed by Starlets Paragon in second, Starlets Country Physio 1 in third, and ICE Mudgee Physio in fourth.

This weekend’s first round of semi-finals will see Allstars T2 play Starlets Paragon in the major semi, which promises to be a great battle. 

Allstars will be hoping their defensive pairing of Teaghan Fraser and Larissa Wilson step up once again after proving all year they are two of the strongest defenders in the league.

The Allstars also have plenty of young talent coming through the ranks, with the likes of Grace Frost (15), Macy Morley (15), and Zoe Da Roza (17) hitting form.

Jen O’Brien from Starlets Paragon said her side is looking forward to this weekend’s clash.

“This weekend’’s match will be yet another tough game,” she said.

“We are without our goal shooter, Ali Fenney and possibly wing defence, Toni Tiffen. 

“We are sure that Krissy Robison will step up to the job of GS nicely and that our newest team member Jules Fotheringham will have a solid game in WD. 

“Our main focus for Saturday’s match will be to shut down Allstars shooters. 

“We are ready to play and can’t wait for the next few weeks of Mudgee Netball.”

The minor semi will be just as hard fought with Starlets Country Physio 1 v ICE Mudgee Physio. Both games are sure to be of high quality netball and will be great to watch.

In division two the last round of competition saw some of the games of the season, with three of the top four teams having hard fought games. 

Starlets Ultimate Care had a great 37-29 win over Starlets Oriental Hotel, while Gulgong Health One had a convincing win over Aztec Gems Pulayana to see them finish fourth on the ladder. 

Competition leaders Allstars Sportscene had a convincing 59-19 win over ICE Winning Post to cement their minor premiership title.

The semis this weekend will see Allstars Sportscene against Starlets Ultimate Care in the major semi and Starlets Oriental Hotel v Gulgong Health One in the minor semi. 

Both games should provide great netball as they give all they’ve got, as they have done all season.

Across the divisions there will be many close match ups in this weekend’s first week of finals.
