Over 5,000 volunteers across NSW will sell merchandise on the day at over 650 sites including train stations, bus stops and major shopping areas, and the charity stall in the Mudgee Town Centre (corner of Byron Place and Church Street).
Every day in Australia 350 people are diagnosed with cancer.
In NSW, it is predicted that 45,245 people will be diagnosed with cancer and 14,438 will die from the disease in 2016.
This Daffodil Day the Cancer Council hopes to raise $3.3 million in NSW (over $8.5 million nationally) with funds going towards world-class cancer research, prevention, advocacy programs and support services.
They are asking for everyone’s help to achieve their goal to “beat cancer and create a better future for all”.
Show your support by wearing a Daffodil Day pin, purchasing an item or donate by calling 1300 65 65 85 or visiting www.daffodilday.com.au
