Jordan Anthony Kelly, aged 18, of Abbotts Road, Hill End, was charged with ‘Never licenced person drive vehicle on road’.
At about 7.10pm on Monday, March 30, 2015, police were travelling along Sandford Avenue, Lithgow, when they passed the car Kelly was driving.
Their automatic number plate recognition system was activated indicating that Roads and Maritime Services records have the registration as expired since November 29, 2013.
They caught up with him and pulled him over in Hoskins Avenue.
When questioned by police Kelly said that he recently bought the car.
And when asked to hand over his licence he admitted he’s never held a licence, and never applied for one which was confirmed by checking RMS records.
Kelly also received an infringement notice for driving the unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
