It was fantastic to see the Railway Green packed with people and everyone obviously enjoying themselves.
For Kandos Museum it was a very special day with the official handover of the much treasured Kandos Cement Co Ltd Ambulance now on permanent loan from Cement Australia to the museum.
A big thank you for their generous support.
We were also thrilled to be able to contribute to the Pirate Festival with two special train events in partnership with our friends at Lithgow State Mine Railways, the Kandos Explorer and Brogans Run.
Both were sold out and everyone looked like they had a really great time on the 90-year-old CPH railmotors.
Thanks to all those who rode the rails to Kandos.
But a biggest thanks must go to Sue Honeysett and Mary Kavanagh of Kandos Events who organised the Buccaneer Bash with Jon English and Pirate Festival on the Railway Green.
Well done.
