Mudgee’s Senior Cricket competition took the weekend off due to the availability of grounds with the Mudgee Rugby Sevens tournament on Saturday.
Late rain that afternoon put paid to the opening round of the Gulgong District Cricket Association competition scheduled to go ahead on Sunday.
But for the juniors there was no such bad luck on Saturday morning with storms still a while off the youngsters hit the fields with MILO in2Cricket Under 6s, Under 8s and Under 10s at Victoria Park (pictured), the Under 12s matches at Walkers Field, and the Under 15s at the Racecourse.
Teams and draws will be published and available via email, Facebook and the Mudgee Guardian/The Weekly.
To ensure a fair and competitive season for all teams, the weekend’s games will be used to grade the teams.
Once grading has been done, the teams and draws will be finalised.
