In welcoming everyone at midday, StreetFeast president Peter Monaghan thanked the sponsors especially WestFund Health who have been the major sponsor for the past three years. Their term has now ended and they will evaluate future support in coming months.
Volunteers were also given a huge thank you by Mr Monaghan later in the day when they were called to the stage to receive certificates for their invaluable work. Many of the volunteers were Kandos High School students and they did a fabulous job serving meals and helping out. Bogee and Clandulla fire brigades also did a fantastic job setting up and putting away afterwards.
This year’s committee comprised Leonie Bainbridge, Andrew Carson, Katrin Dixon, Sue Foldhazy, Neil Howland, Peter Monaghan, Robyn Oakes, Alison Oldfield, Diane Quaife and Vanessa Walton. All excess money raised during the event is donated to worthy local groups and causes that benefit the community.
