Over 30 pop up cellar doors, food and drink stalls attended from Mudgee Region. 

“Mudgee Region Tourism were thrilled to support this year’s Pyrmont Festival for the sixth year,” chairman of Mudgee Region Tourism Russell Holden said.

“We engaged a socially savvy audience and were delighted to host 28 media across the two-days. The response to this year’s festival was the best yet, with an increased crowd on last year, over 1200 visitor guides were handed out and many festival-goers eagerly completed entry forms for a chance to win a ‘reset your senses in Mudgee Region’ escape.

“Events such as the Pyrmont Festival take Mudgee Region right to the heart or our target audience, it definitely is a compelling way to engage with thousands of potential visitors and encourage them to skip town and make their next short break to the region.”

Dozens of wineries and cellar doors participated in the event that is supported by Lord Mayor of Sydney  Clover Moore. 

“Pyrmont Festival is an outstanding example of a community-focused business and industry collaboration, and the city is proud to continue its support of this event and its growing popularity,” Ms Moore said. 

“The Mudgee region in Central NSW is one of the state’s oldest wine regions known for its fine food, excellent art, music, nature and history experiences. It’s a region perfectly matched with Pyrmont, an inner-city precinct that’s one of Sydney’s fastest-growing tourist, creative, cultural and dining destinations.”

The Pyrmont Festival is a collaboration between Mudgee Region Tourism, Mid-Western Regional Council and Mudgee Wine Grape Growers Inc, presented by Pyrmont Ultimo Chamber of Commerce with the City of Sydney.
