The 58-year-old woman was driving near Lue Primary School at approximately 2.30pm yesterday (May 24) when she veered off the road and hit a tree.
The woman managed to open the driver’s door and fell onto the road beside the car. Bystanders were able to pull her from to safety before it caught fire.
Due to the low-speed nature of the accident the woman suffered only minor injuries to her lower legs and was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital by ambulance where she is expected to be released today.
