It was Christmas in July at a very special Gulgong market on Saturday morning.

A gingerbread house baked by local sweets aficionado Pamela Matheson was raffled to raise funds for Gulgong Public School, and was won by student Destiny McAuliffe.

There was delicious egg nog made by Naomi Haney, children’s art with Marian Imrie, a great range of stalls, and the outstanding display by the Ten Dollar Circus.

Extra entertainment and fun was provided by a group of 23 young people visiting the Gulgong Presbyterian Church from the USA, who came with puppets, songs and story dances.

Markets organiser Agnes Nordmann thanked all the locals, visitors and stall holders who make the markets possible. .

The Gulgong Markets are held on the fourth Saturday of each month at Coronation Park in Mayne Street.
