Police are investigating following a fatal single-vehicle crash in Cowra on Saturday night.

About 10.10pm (Saturday 27 August 2016), emergency services were called to the Mid Western Highway about 5km north of Cowra, following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest a Toyota 4WD was travelling north on the highway, when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a woman believed to be in her 60s, died at the scene.
The passenger, a man also believed to be in his 60s, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Orange Hospital with serious injuries.
A crime scene has been established and the Mid Western Highway has been closed southbound as investigations take place.
