Australia's Daniel Ricciardo was feeling no pain when he posted his weekly post-race video from his Monaco balcony to the @RedBullRacing Twitter account, but he's conceded the team has work to do to be podium contenders at Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.
The Monza circuit is the fastest on the formula one calendar and will favour the straight-line speed of the world championship leading Mercedes, with Ricciardo splitting Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton for second at last week's Belgian Grand Prix.
"I'd say another podium is certainly a high," Ricciardo said of last week's race. "Three in a row now, and that was the target to start the second half of the season."
"The low of the weekend, I dunno, I wanted to do better than fifth in qualifying to be honest but I wasn't that down about it because I was confident we'd have a good race car on Sunday and, yeah, I was just looking forward to the race was just happy to be back racing after a holiday.
"So yeah it was pretty smooth sailing I'll say and I am really pleased and now we are off to Monza in a couple of days. We'll drive up there, Monaco is just a few hours so we don't have to fly which is good. Get onto it!
"It is going to be a challenging circuit for us but it's one I've always enjoyed so I'm looking forward to that.
"Now I've got a couple of days at home to enjoy a bit of the weather ... get out on the bike, do some cycling, looking forward to hitting the hills. Let's do it all again on Sunday."
