Undefeated Starlets started slowly but found their rhythm after 10 minutes to lead by 5 goals by the first break. Team play and fast mid court movement saw them stretch the lead. Mariah Burnicle- Tavita was impressive in defence for Starlets so too Hawkes’ Mia Baggett.
11 Year, Saints Rosella's def Aztecs Paragon Gulgong Dispensary 16-15
The crowd was kept guessing with no more than 2 goals separating the teams at any break. In the last quarter Aztecs had a 1 goal lead, however Rosella’s stepped up, resulting in a 2 goal turnaround and 1 goal win. Rosella’s effort was outstanding especially in defence. Aztecs’ Ella Callaghan and Sophie Johanson were strong.
10 Year, Starlets Country Physio 10s def Saints Corella’s 17-14
Starlets had a 3 goal lead by the end of the third quarter with solid shooting by Jemima James. They held the lead with fast ball movement through the mid court and Hilary Guilfoyle and Georgia Bowland. Corella’s Eliza English, Matilda Jessiman and Charlotte Wilson had outstanding games.
9 Year, Starlets Country Physio 9s def Starlets Gladstone Street Mechanical 17-5
Undefeated Country Physio displayed another strong performance in the grand final lead by Rachel Marshall. Effort and sportsmanship was shown by all with spectators praising their improvement during the the season.
8 Year, Gulgong Pixies def Starlets The Property Shop 15-4
The first quarter was a close contest with Pixies having a a goal lead at the break. Good passing and strong shooting saw them extend their lead resulting in an 11 goal win.
