Ms Windsor, a Ngemba Weilwan woman of Western NSW, grew up collecting bush fruits, catching yabbies and eating bush foods in the wild.
Ms Windsor is passionate about bush foods, educating the wider community about Indigenous Australia and culture and, through her small successful business Indigiearth, she showcases Australian native products at their best.
Founded in 1996, Indigiearth now provides a wide range of Australian native meats, herbs and spices and other ingredients to cafes, restaurants and caterers.
“You to learn about our indigenous culture and enjoy a delicious brunch prepared by Sharon.” said Claudia Wythes, Watershed Landcare Coorinator.
The Bush Tucker Brunch will be held on October 23 at Augustine’s Function Center, at 9:30am.
The menu will include kangaroo and crocodile sausages served with native chutneys, grilled bush tomato, scrambled eggs with sea blight and samphire, native fruit muesli with lemon myrtle yogurt and damper with native jams and wattleseed cream.
Tickets $20 for Watershed Landcare members and $30 for non-members. Booking essential at Central Tablelands Local Land Services Office, 112 Market St, Mudgee.
