Two men charged with drug possession during the police presence surrounding the five-day Psyfari concert at Capertee Valley near Glen Alice in August, were convicted in their absence when they failed to appear in Mudgee Local Court last Wednesday.

Justin Keegan, aged 26, of Canty Street, Narooma, was fined $400 after he was stopped by police on the afternoon of August 26.
When questioned before his vehicle was searched, Keegan admitted there he was in possession of drugs but told police, “I’m not telling you where, you’ll have to find it”.
The police dog found 6g of cannabis and 1g of MDMA in a sleeping bag.
Ceren Rhys Thomas, aged 21, of Holt Avenue, North Wahroonga, was fined $600 after the car he was a passenger in was stopped on the afternoon of August 28.
Police could smell cannabis in the vehicle, which was leaving the festival, the court was told.
When questioned Thomas admitted to possessing the drug and handed over 1g from his shoe.
