Mendelssohn's exuberant string quartet in A (written when he was just 18) opens this colourful concert, followed by Puccini's Chrysanthemum and the String Quartet in F by French Impressionist, Maurice Ravel.
Launched in 2014, MQ tour the central west offering high quality, beautiful, accessible and well known chamber music repertoire to regional audiences.
Individually, MQ's performers have been presenting chamber music concerts in the central west for over 30 years, but come together now to present over 10 performances per year in cities including Bathurst, Canowindra, Gulgong, Lithgow, Mudgee, Orange and Springwood.
The quartet is resident at Abercrombie House (Bathurst), where they perform three programs per year.
